Endura Pro SL Bib Shorts: EGM vs Power
Endura sells the Pro SL bib shorts in three versions: the standard Pro SL, the EGM and the Power. We can price 11 Pro SL listings at 5 UK shops. The EGM starts at £69.99 and the Power at £159.99. The cheaper one has the better pad on paper, and it’s disappearing from shops.
Here’s how the three compare on pad, fit and price, which sizes you can still buy, and which shop is cheapest for each.
Pro SL vs EGM vs Power at a glance
| Version | Pad | Fit | From | Sizes buyable |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Pro SL EGM | 800 Series Conform EGM (per Cycling Weekly’s test) | Race fit; testers say it sizes small | £69.99 | XS, S |
| Pro SL Power | 700 Series (per Endura) | “Race Fit: Form fit”, in Endura’s words | £159.99 | XS, S, M, L, XL, XXL |
| Pro SL | 800 Series Conform (per Endura) | Compressive race fit | £80 | XS, S, M, L, XL |
The pad details come from different sources. Endura’s current product pages name the pads for the standard Pro SL and the Power. The EGM’s 800 Series pad comes from Cycling Weekly’s 2023 test. The current Endura pages we read don’t use the name “EGM” at all, which suggests it is being phased out.
Endura Pro SL EGM: the long-ride version
Testers liked the EGM for its pad, which is thicker where you sit and designed for long days:
I can say that the chamois was one of the best I have ever tested. The new 800 series Conform EGM pad provided not only a great fit but thicker padding where important.
Stock is the problem. The EGM listings we can price today:
| Product | From | Cheapest at | Shops |
|---|---|---|---|
| Endura Pro SL EGM Long Bib Short | £69.99 | Cyclestore | 3 |
| Endura Pro SL EGM Bib Short | £89.99 | Cyclestore | 3 |
The only sizes on sale are XS, S. If you take a medium or larger, the EGM is effectively gone. The review that praised the pad also warned about sizing:
Just be aware, they size up smaller than most shorts on the market.
Endura Pro SL Power: what you pay extra for
Here is Endura’s own description of the Power’s pad:
Also comes with our 700 Series chamois pad. The best. Made for all-dayers.
That is a 700 Series pad. Endura’s product page for the standard Pro SL describes its 800 Series pad as a development of the 700:
The 800 Series Conform Pad develops the 700 Series design by introducing medical grade silicone in key areas to relieve pressure.

The standard Endura Pro SL
The standard Pro SL is the short reviewers have praised for years:
The latest Endura Pro SL bib shorts are one of the most comfortable pairs I have ever used.
True to size, these performance-oriented bibs have quite the compressive fit, in line with what I've experienced with other brands at this price point.

How we got these numbers
We read each shop’s own product listings, size by size, and this page was rebuilt from that read on 17 September 2026. A price counts only if it is in pounds and the shop has not marked that size sold out. Where a shop publishes no stock at all, we show its price but leave it out of every in-stock percentage rather than guess. We never convert a euro or dollar price: import VAT and duty make those numbers wrong in your favour on paper and against you at the door.
No brand or shop pays for a place on this page: the order is price, and nothing else. Prices move daily; the product page always shows the time of the last read. More in how Spoke Signal works.
