The Milk Race (now known as the Tour of Britain) started in 1958 as a marketing exercise for the Milk Marketing Board (MMB) in the England and Wales. It lasted 35 years under this name before becoming the Kellogg's Tour and PruTour and eventually the Tour of Britain.
